Faraz Eshghi – Violin

Faraz Eshghi is an Iranian violinist , composer based in London. He started his career in music as a Orchestra violinist and violist in 2006. Faraz is also a professional traditional instrumentalist and plays Iranian bow instruments like Kamanche and Qeychak . Faraz’s first album as a composer “The Impression on the wall” won the second prize in Iranian Musical art Festival in 2011.
Faraz fuses Iraninan traditional music with Western taste in his music. Faraz studied ethnomusicology in Tehran art university which lead him arrange several Iranian folk songs for chamber orchestras in Iran. In 2012 , Faraz and his peer musicians from northern Iran founded Guilan Philharmonic Orchestra as the first independent local orchestra in Iran. He has been working as a music teacher since 2007 in Rasht, Iran introducing several students to Iran’s Youth Festival. He recently finished his postgraduate studies in music education at Royal College of Music, London.
