
Mohammad Jaberi was born in 1981 in Kermanshah, Iran. He grew up in a family with two very prominent values: the practice of Sufism and the love of music. He has been playing the Daf and many other percussions for 25 years. He learnt to play the Daf from the masters Khalife Karim Safvati and Ahmad Khak Tinat. His particuIar playing style follows the style of Master Bijan Kamkar.
He owns a diploma from Tehran School of Music and was recognised twice as one of the best Daf players at the Fajr Music Festival in Iran. He also peformed at the Indian Rhythm Festival and Spanish Music Festival. He has performed in many concerts with various orchestras both in and out of Iran. Some of these include:
- Rumy Concert with London Philharmonic Orchestra
- Hamdel ensamble
- Iranian Drums Group in Spain
- Dehlavi Group in Iran
- Resvan group in a European Tour
- Molavi group with Master Shahram Nazeri
- Ferdosi Group in many different festivals in and out of Iran.
He has also been touring around the world with the famous singer Sami Yusuf.
Mohammad Jabari produced his own Album entitled “Daf va Baran” in Iran and currently lives in London where he teaches Daf and conducts the Daf band “Daf Navazane Eshgh”.
